For many years we attended the London Wine Fair with different hats on: as an importer, supporting Wines of Portugal and Wines of Brazil generically and as the creator of esoterica. Esoterica worked really well as a hub inside the Fair for visitors to find good independent retailers We often saw wine producers without distributors getting lost in the Fair and receiving the attention from buyers that they deserved. So, one evening, in the back of a taxi Ana had the eureka moment! and Wines Unearthed started to develop.
With the support from Ross Carter at the London Wine Fair, Wines Unearthed area was launched in 2015 for 66 producers from 18 different countries, and it’s gone from strength to strength ever since.
Now expanding to Wine Paris, Wines Unearthed will grow to other international fairs in the years to come.
With over 30 years experience in the trade, originally as an importer and more latterly as an entrepreneurial marketeer and events creator, Judy runs with the ethos that business matching is key to success in the trade.
